The Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya (APDK) was established in 1958 as a non-governmental organization (NGO). The overall objective of the organization is to improve the Quality of life of Persons with Disabilities through promoting Rehabilitation and Inclusion.
Summary
APDK is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for persons with disabilities in Kenya and beyond. We’re hiring a driver for our Nakuru Branch, and we need someone who values safety, efficiency, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport staff, partners, and materials as needed
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained
- Follow all traffic laws for everyone’s safety
- Assist with loading/unloading and secure transport of materials
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and fuel
- Coordinate with office staff for efficient scheduling
- Provide excellent service to staff and partners
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- 5+ years of professional driving experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of local traffic laws
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
- Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus
- Willingness to work extra hours when needed
