Flone Initiative is a pan-African women-led non-profit organization working towards the realization of Safe, Accessible, Inclusive and Sustainable public transportation for all in Africa, with particular focus on women and vulnerable groups.
As a digital marketer, you’ll need to:
- Manage digital platforms to grow audiences, optimize content, and improve engagement on web and social pages
- Drive conversion among audiences to support Flone’s work through campaigns, advocacy, and fundraising campaigns
- Create content to publish on social and web platforms in collaboration with the programme
- Improve the usability, design, content, and conversion of Flone’s website
- Utilise tools to build our online communities and keep them engaged in our interventions and activities
- Utilize various techniques, including paid search, Blogs, Email marketing, Google analytics, SEO, SEM, PPC, social media, and display advertising, to increase reach and engagement.
- Collaborate closely with staff to support content creation and distribution of news, research reports, impact, and interventions.
- Responsible for planning and budgeting digital marketing budget
- Manage the contact database and assist with lead-generation activities
- Keeping up to date with emerging digital marketing trends to maximize the effectiveness of strategies
- Perform any other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
What You’ll need to succeed
- Proven progressive responsibility in a similar position.
- Experience in working in marketing for a company or NGO
- Excellent writing skills
- Proven progressive responsibility to work diligently as part of a busy team
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathy, particularly with regard to working with vulnerable people
- Willingness to travel within Kenya
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Suite, Google Analytics, and SEO tools.
