Transport Manager at Offshores Global Logistics

The transport manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the transportation department in the organization. This includes managing budgets, organizing schedules & routes, ensuring that vehicles are safe and meet legal requirements, and leading the transport team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategically manage company’s transport assets in compliance with the company’s policies and vision while ensuring proper alignment on the company goals with the team.

• Maintain the highest standards of health and safety as per the company’s health and safety policy by promoting a safe working environment as a safety champion.
• Comply and assimilate the ESG agenda as per the company’s ESG
• Ensure optimal profitability through proper pricing, accurate billing, efficient operations and maintenance of low operational costs.
• Plan and coordinate of both in house and outsourced fleet to enhance profitability.

KEY REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related
• At least 3 years’ experience as a transport manager or similar role
• Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations for transportation
• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple shipments and routes
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to make decisions under pressure
• Detail oriented and able to maintain accurate records
