Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the Finance department by assisting with financial operations, accounting, and data analysis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to learn and gain hands-on experience in the finance sector while contributing to the growth of a forward-thinking company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records in our digital platform.
  • Assist in the preparation of loan disbursements and repayments.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Help track expenses, ensure financial compliance, and support audits as required.
  • Work with the finance team on ad hoc tasks and projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial processes are smooth and efficient.

Requirements:

  • A Diploma or Degree in a business-related course, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Extensive knowledge of Accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in work.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory):

  • CPA qualification or progress towards CPA would be an added advantage.
