Key Responsibilities:
- Verify patient eligibility for medical insurance coverage using payor websites and other verification tools.
- Communicate with insurance companies and healthcare providers via inbound and outbound calls to confirm benefits and coverage details.
- Update and maintain accurate records of eligibility information in medical billing software.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies in insurance coverage.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving eligibility issues promptly.
- Prepare and analyze reports on eligibility verification activities as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations during all verification processes.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in medical insurance eligibility verification.
- Familiarity with medical billing software and related systems.
- Experience with payor websites is highly beneficial.
- Outstanding phone communication skills for both inbound and outbound calls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel 365 and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under deadlines.
