Description

The Human Resources Officer is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the HR department, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and other HR functions.

The role involves ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures, maintaining employee records, and providing support to employees and management.

Key Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Coordinating and managing the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communications
  2. Conducting the initial interviews and participating in the selection process. Conducting new employee orientations and onboarding processes.
  3. 4.Assisting in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. 5.Communicating and explaining HR policies to employees and ensuring adherence. 6.Participating in policy reviews and updates.
  4. 7.Assisting in the implementation and administration of performance appraisal systems. 8.Supporting managers in conducting performance reviews and setting development goals for
  5. employees.
  6. Tracking and documenting employee performance and providing feedback. 10.Supporting the Head of Human Resources in enhancing staff retention.
  7. Identifying staff training needs and assist in organizing training and development programs. 12.Supporting the implementation of employee development plans.
  8. Evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and suggest improvements
  9. Ensuring compliance and adherence to company policies, procedures, rules and other operational
  10. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR 16.Managing the HRIS - producing regular HR metrics reports and maintaining updated HR Information in the systems.
  11. Managing and update staff leave records
  12. Assisting in the preparation and administration the Company's payroll
  13. Assisting in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  14. Addressing employee inquiries regarding benefits and assisting with enrolment and claims
  15. Acting as a point of contact for employee queries and issues, providing advice and support as needed.
  16. Mediating and resolve employee conflicts and grievances in a fair and timely
  17. Promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  18. Managing staff welfare and wellness programs

Person Specifications

  • University degree in Business/ social related studies.
  • A professional Human Resource qualification e.g CHRP K, Higher Diploma.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Human Resource management & Administration roles in a medium organization.

  10. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
