Sourcing Manager

Mwingi is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sourcing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of proven experience in sourcing within the FMCG sector, with a strong network among wholesalers, distributors, and supermarkets. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to ensure a reliable supply of quality products at competitive prices.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesalers, distributors, and supermarket partners.
• Evaluate and negotiate supplier contracts, ensuring terms align with business objectives.
• Identify and onboard new suppliers to diversify and strengthen the supply chain network.
• Conduct market analysis to stay informed on pricing trends, competitor strategies, and new product opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage supplier performance, addressing issues to maintain high-quality standards.
• Monitor and report on sourcing activities, KPIs, and cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
• Experience: Over 5 years in sourcing within the FMCG sector, with hands-on experience working with wholesalers, distributors, and supermarkets.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement and inventory management tools/software.
• Knowledge of FMCG industry dynamics and supply chain best practices.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
