Senior Procurement Officer
Description
The Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement activities of Panari Hotels, ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services in alignment with the hotel's operational needs, budgetary constraints, and quality standards. This role involves supplier management, contract negotiation, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies to support seamless hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Operations:
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, evaluating suppliers, and purchasing goods and services.
- Ensure timely delivery of quality supplies and services to meet the operational needs of all hotel departments.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships, negotiating favorable terms and conditions.
Cost Management:
- Analyze procurement requirements to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
- Prepare and monitor the procurement budget, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
- Conduct market research to ensure competitive pricing and best practices.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with hotel policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, contracts, and vendor performance.
- Oversee the preparation of periodic procurement reports for management review.
Supplier Management:
- Conduct supplier assessments and performance evaluations to ensure reliability, quality, and cost-efficiency.
- Establish and maintain a preferred supplier list, ensuring diversity and alignment with hotel goals.
- Resolve supplier disputes and address issues promptly to avoid operational disruptions.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Supervise and provide guidance to junior procurement staff, fostering professional growth and teamwork.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand procurement needs and provide strategic support.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement within the procurement function.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSP) is an added advantage.
- Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in procurement, with 2+ years in a senior role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with procurement laws, ethical practices, and environmental sustainability initiatives.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in procurement software, ERP systems, and MS Office applications.
