Description

We are seeking an experienced Cashier and Billing Officer to join our team in Mombasa. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing financial transactions and billing processes efficiently and accurately. With a keen eye for detail and strong numerical skills, you will ensure that all financial dealings are handled with the highest level of professionalism and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Cashiering Duties:

    • Handle cash, credit card, and electronic transactions accurately and efficiently.
    • Issue receipts and refunds as necessary while maintaining proper documentation.
    • Balance cash registers at the end of each shift and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  2. Billing Responsibilities:

    • Prepare, verify, and process invoices for patients and clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Collaborate with medical and administrative teams to address billing inquiries and discrepancies.
    • Maintain up-to-date records of transactions and billing information in the system.
  3. Financial Reporting:

    • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management.
    • Assist in audits and reconciliations by providing relevant financial data.
  4. Customer Interaction:

    • Address customer inquiries regarding bills, payments, and financial policies with professionalism and courtesy.
    • Resolve billing issues promptly and escalate unresolved matters to the appropriate department.
  5. Compliance and Accuracy:

    • Ensure all transactions comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain confidentiality and security of financial and patient information.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education and Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cashiering and billing, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Skills:

    • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in using billing software and financial systems.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Other Requirements:

    • Ability to handle financial transactions accurately and maintain records meticulously.
    • High level of integrity and professionalism.
