Mwananchi Credit is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resource Officer to oversee key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a supportive work environment that aligns with the company’s values and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment and Onboarding

    • Coordinate the recruitment process, including posting job advertisements, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
    • Facilitate a seamless onboarding process for new employees, ensuring they integrate effectively into the company.
  2. Employee Relations

    • Act as a point of contact for employee queries, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
    • Address and resolve employee concerns while maintaining confidentiality and promoting workplace harmony.
  3. Performance Management and Training

    • Manage the performance appraisal process, ensuring timely reviews and actionable feedback.
    • Develop and coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and productivity.
  4. HR Records and Systems

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including contracts, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
    • Manage HR systems to ensure efficient operations and reporting.
  5. Compliance and Policies

    • Ensure adherence to labor laws, industry regulations, and company policies.
    • Update and communicate HR policies as needed to align with legal and organizational changes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an HR role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in HR management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
