Employee Relations Supervisor
Description
The Employee Relations Supervisor is responsible for managing and resolving employee relations issues to ensure a harmonious work environment. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual to handle disciplinary matters, contract management, and other HR-related responsibilities while ensuring compliance with Kenyan labor laws.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Employee Relations Management
- Address and manage employee relations issues promptly and effectively.
- Resolve grievances and conflicts in alignment with organizational policies and labor laws.
Disciplinary Processes
- Spearhead disciplinary hearings and ensure fair and transparent procedures.
- Draft and issue show-cause notices, warning letters, suspension, separation, termination, and dismissal letters.
Contract Management
- Oversee the drafting, issuance, and renewal of employment contracts for staff.
- Ensure proper record-keeping of contracts and timely renewals.
Documentation and Record Keeping
- File disciplinary letters in staff files and maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements in record management.
Additional HR Duties
- Assist the Head of Department with other HR-related tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a busy HR setup.
- Proven experience handling disciplinary matters, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Good understanding of Kenyan labor laws.
