Job Description:
The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency throughout the hotel. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in housekeeping, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the housekeeping team to ensure all rooms and public areas meet established cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Train, motivate, and guide housekeeping staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and laundry services to maintain high-quality standards.
- Assign tasks to housekeeping staff and monitor performance to ensure efficiency and timeliness.
- Address guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring timely procurement and proper storage.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations within the department.
- Prepare and maintain schedules, records, and reports related to housekeeping operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to train and motivate staff.
- Excellent attention to detail and a thorough understanding of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety standards.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills to address staff and guest concerns professionally.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in hospitality or housekeeping management are a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
