Sales and Marketing Officer

Our client is a leading producer of high-quality animal feeds, dedicated to supporting the agricultural sector through innovative products and excellent customer service. We are looking for a dynamic Sales and Marketing Officer to join our team and drive sales while building strong relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales and Customer Engagement:

   • Build and maintain relationships with direct customers, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally.
   • Actively engage with customers to understand market demands and promote our animal feed products.

2. Marketing and Business Development:

   • Develop and execute effective marketing strategies to increase sales and market presence.
   • Conduct market research and provide feedback on customer preferences, competitor activities, and market trends.

3. Leadership and Team Coordination:

   • Oversee and manage shop attendants, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent customer service.
   • Provide guidance and training to team members to enhance performance and productivity.

4. Travel and Outreach:

   • Travel to various regions to meet customers, conduct product demonstrations, and explore new market opportunities.
   • Represent the company at agricultural fairs, exhibitions, and other events to promote products.

5. Reporting and Performance Monitoring:

   • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
   • Monitor sales targets and work towards exceeding the monthly benchmark of Ksh. 2.5M.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a sales and marketing role, preferably in the animal feeds or farming industry, with direct customer interaction.
• Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Additional Requirements:

• Motorcycle license (an added advantage).
• Willingness to travel extensively across regions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other sales-related software.
