We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of HR and Admin to design, implement, and oversee human resource and administrative policies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will lead HR operations, foster a high-performing culture, and streamline administrative processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. HR Policy Design and Implementation:

    • Develop and implement coherent HR policies and structures to align with organizational objectives.
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws and best practices in HR management.
  2. Performance Management:

    • Design and implement robust performance management systems to drive employee engagement and productivity.
    • Provide guidance on goal-setting, feedback, and performance reviews.
  3. Talent Acquisition and Development:

    • Lead HR planning, recruitment, onboarding, and training initiatives.
    • Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  4. Compensation and Benefits:

    • Oversee compensation and benefit policies to ensure they are cost-effective yet competitive within the industry.
    • Conduct periodic benchmarking and reviews to maintain equity and competitiveness.
  5. Administrative Oversight:

    • Streamline internal business processes and oversee the administration function.
    • Ensure efficient operation of administrative activities to support organizational needs.
  6. Organizational Development:

    • Support the development of organizational structures to promote scalability and adaptability.
    • Collaborate with leadership to ensure HR and administrative strategies align with business goals.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
  • At least six years of experience in HR and Admin management, with a minimum of four years in a management position.
  • Must be a member of HRMAU (Human Resource Management Association of Uganda).
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to design and implement HR and administrative strategies effectively.
