Procurement Officer
Description
Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Officer with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in procurement within the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment, as well as expertise in beauty and skincare products. This role involves managing supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, and maintaining inventory to support seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of healthcare supplies, beauty, and skincare products.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships to ensure the best value for the organization.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on product trends, pricing, and supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, healthcare regulations, and industry standards.
- Manage procurement documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as finance, operations, and inventory management to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Monitor stock levels and forecast procurement needs to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Evaluate product quality and coordinate with suppliers to resolve any discrepancies or defects.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product quality and supplier reliability.
- Stay informed on regulatory changes and ensure procurement practices align with industry guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement within the healthcare sector.
- Strong knowledge of medical supplies, equipment, beauty, and skincare products.
- Familiarity with procurement software and inventory management systems.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple suppliers and handle procurement contracts effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in healthcare procurement.
