Job Summary:
The Debt Collector at Comfort Homes will be responsible for managing and recovering outstanding debts from clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent record-keeping and reporting skills, strong communication abilities, and a customer service-oriented approach. The role requires the ability to work under pressure, meet collection targets, and resolve issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contact clients with overdue accounts to negotiate payment plans and recover outstanding debts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities and client interactions.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on collection progress and outstanding accounts.
- Provide excellent customer service while addressing client concerns and resolving disputes.
- Meet or exceed monthly collection targets and deadlines.
- Utilize computer applications to manage accounts, track payments, and generate reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve client issues and improve collection processes.
- Stay updated on company policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices related to debt collection.
Requirements:
- Minimum age of 28 years.
- Proven experience in debt collection or a similar role.
- Strong record-keeping and reporting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service-oriented with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., MS Office, accounting software).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing debt collection is a plus.
