Job Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Income Auditor to join our team. The Income Auditor will oversee the accurate recording, reconciliation, and regular auditing of all hotel revenue streams. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures for cash handling, credit card processing, guest billing, and other revenue-related areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel audit operations and a passion for maintaining financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily audits of all revenue streams, including room revenue, food and beverage sales, and other ancillary income.
- Reconcile daily revenue reports with system-generated data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Verify and process all cash, credit card, and direct billing transactions in compliance with hotel policies.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in revenue postings, ensuring timely corrections.
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures related to revenue management.
- Collaborate with front office, food and beverage, and other departments to address revenue-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all audits and reconciliations for future reference and reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end closing and financial statements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in hotel revenue management and auditing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher education qualification/equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA-K certification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in hotel audit or a similar role.
- Proficiency in hotel management systems such as Opera, Micros, and Sage/Sun systems.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
