Job Purpose:
The Head of Procurement will play a critical role in driving strategic sourcing, cost optimization, supplier relationship management, and risk mitigation for all direct and indirect materials essential to Bio Foods and Ma Cuisine’s operations. This role ensures that procurement activities align with business growth, sustainability goals, and product innovation while maintaining cost efficiency and supply chain security.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement Leadership:
Develop and execute a category-based procurement strategy for key materials, including PET preforms, caps, labels, sugar, fruits, flavors, concentrates, cartons, and closures.
Align procurement strategies with business objectives to support growth, innovation, and sustainability.
Supplier Relationship Management:
Establish and maintain long-term partnerships with suppliers to drive cost savings, quality improvements, and innovation.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
Cost Optimization:
Lead procurement cost reduction initiatives without compromising on quality or supply security.
Monitor commodity price trends (e.g., sugar, PET) and develop hedging strategies to ensure cost stability.
Risk Management:
Develop and implement a supplier risk management framework to mitigate risks associated with critical raw materials.
Ensure continuity plans are in place to address potential supply chain disruptions.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure all procurement activities comply with global food safety standards, including HACCP, ISO 22000, FDA, and local regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain high standards of product quality and safety.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Drive performance metrics and KPIs to measure and improve procurement effectiveness.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, with at least 4 years in a leadership role within the FMCG, dairy, or food manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, cost optimization, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong understanding of commodity markets, price trends, and hedging strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of global food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
