Accountants – 2 Positions

Our client in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector is seeking to recruit two (2) qualified and experienced Accountants to join their growing finance team. The successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with tax and statutory obligations, and efficient day-to-day financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records, general ledgers, and financial statements.
• Record daily transactions and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash flow.
• Ensure timely filing of tax returns and compliance with statutory requirements (VAT, PAYE, corporate tax, etc.).
• Support the budgeting process and provide financial insights.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and perform asset verification.
• Enforce adherence to financial controls, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA-K, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• At least 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the FMCG sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems like Odoo.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and tax compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

• Bank reconciliations and accounts payables

Preferred Attributes:

• FMCG industry experience is highly preferred.
