Dispatch Officer

The Dispatch Officer is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the dispatch of goods to ensure timely, efficient, and accurate delivery to customers and distributors. The role plays a key part in maintaining Kim-Fay's high standards of service and ensuring smooth logistics operations across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily dispatch schedules to ensure prompt delivery of goods.
• Supervise loading and unloading activities to verify accuracy of orders and adherence to safety standards.
• Prepare and verify dispatch documentation including delivery notes, invoices, and manifests.
• Monitor vehicle movement and ensure drivers adhere to assigned routes and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with warehouse, customer service, and transport teams to resolve dispatch-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatched goods and returns.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Track and report on dispatch performance metrics, including delivery times, delays, and incidents.
• Participate in periodic stock counts and support logistics optimization initiatives.
• Address driver or customer complaints regarding delivery issues professionally and promptly.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in dispatch or logistics coordination, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software (e.g., ERP, WMS systems).
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple dispatches simultaneously.
• Knowledge of transport regulations and route planning is an added advantage.
