Truck Driver

The Reach Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and retrieval of goods within the warehouse using a reach truck. The role ensures that materials are handled accurately to maintain optimal warehouse operations and inventory integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate reach truck to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials within the warehouse.
• Perform daily equipment checks to ensure the reach truck is in safe working condition.
• Ensure accurate picking, put-away, and replenishment of stock based on warehouse procedures.
• Safely stack and store products in designated storage locations.
• Assist in inventory cycle counts and stock reconciliations when required.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and adherence to warehouse safety protocols.
• Report any damages, faults, or discrepancies in products or equipment immediately.
• Support general warehouse duties including cleaning, organizing, and assisting colleagues during peak operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: KCSE Certificate or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years proven experience operating a reach truck in a busy warehouse or distribution environment.
• License: Must possess a valid Reach Truck Driver License/Certification.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of safety practices in warehousing and equipment operation.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.
• Physically fit with the ability to work in fast-paced and physically demanding conditions.
