Job Summary:
The Human Resource Assistant will support the HR department in executing day-to-day administrative and operational tasks. This role involves assisting in recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Assist in posting job vacancies, screening applications, and scheduling interviews.
Coordinate onboarding processes for new hires, including orientation sessions and documentation.
Employee Records Management:
Maintain and update employee files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
Manage HR databases and generate reports as needed.
Benefits and Compensation:
Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance and leave management.
Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data on absences, bonuses, and leaves.
Compliance and Policy Implementation:
Ensure adherence to Kenyan labor laws and internal HR policies.
Participate in audits and implement recommendations to improve HR practices.
Employee Relations:
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
Support conflict resolution initiatives and promote a positive work environment.
Training and Development:
Coordinate training sessions and workshops to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Maintain training records and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Registered member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) Kenya.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resources role.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HR information systems.
Strong understanding of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
