Job Summary:
The Human Resource Assistant will support the HR department in executing day-to-day administrative and operational tasks. This role involves assisting in recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding:

    • Assist in posting job vacancies, screening applications, and scheduling interviews.

    • Coordinate onboarding processes for new hires, including orientation sessions and documentation.

  • Employee Records Management:

    • Maintain and update employee files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.

    • Manage HR databases and generate reports as needed.

  • Benefits and Compensation:

    • Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance and leave management.

    • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data on absences, bonuses, and leaves.

  • Compliance and Policy Implementation:

    • Ensure adherence to Kenyan labor laws and internal HR policies.

    • Participate in audits and implement recommendations to improve HR practices.

  • Employee Relations:

    • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.

    • Support conflict resolution initiatives and promote a positive work environment.

  • Training and Development:

    • Coordinate training sessions and workshops to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

    • Maintain training records and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Registered member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) Kenya.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resources role.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HR information systems.

  • Strong understanding of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
