Procurement Internship

Timberworld.co.ke is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to join our procurement team. The intern will assist in the procurement process, from supplier sourcing and quotation analysis to purchase order preparation and inventory tracking. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in procurement, supply chain management, and vendor relations within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations for goods and services.

• Support the preparation and issuance of purchase orders.

• Help maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.

• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.

• Assist in updating and maintaining the supplier database.

• Participate in inventory checks and stock reconciliation.

• Support in verifying supplier invoices for accuracy before forwarding to finance.

• Ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures.

• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Procurement Officer.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma or Degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Supplies, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Basic knowledge of procurement procedures and documentation.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.

• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• High level of integrity and professionalism.
