Key Responsibilities
Strategic Raw Material Buying
- Source fabrics, trims, and accessories from both local and international markets.
- Lead vendor negotiations to secure favorable pricing and payment terms.
- Evaluate vendor performance (price, quality, lead time).
Inventory Planning & Stockout Mitigation
- Establish reorder models and ensure stock cover based on sales and production forecasts.
- Analyze demand trends to prevent raw material and finished goods shortages.
- Collaborate with production and commercial teams to align inventory availability with demand.
Warehouse Design & Management
- Oversee raw material and finished goods warehouses.
- Ensure stock traceability, stock count accuracy, and efficient warehouse layout to maximize space utilization.
Inventory Reporting & Visibility
- Establish dashboards for visibility of stock status, consumption, lead times, stock movements and in-transit stock and generate and share timely inventory and other reports with clear insights and risks
- Track inventory turnover and ensure ERP records match physical stock.
Logistics & Distribution
- Coordinate inbound logistics and customs clearance to minimize delays and costs as well as outbound logistics to Vivo stores.
- Optimize transport planning for reliability and cost-effectiveness.
Process Improvement & System Integration
- Support ERP implementation and digitization of supply chain workflows.
- Embed supply chain KPIS in dashboards for real-time monitoring.
Quality Assurance Collaboration
- Establish inspection procedures for inbound raw materials.
- Collaborate with QA to ensure fabric and trim quality meet production standards.
- Take corrective action when vendor quality issues arise.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certifications in procurement, logistics, or inventory management are an added advantage
- Minimum 10 years in supply chain management, with at least 5 in apparel/fashion.
- Strong experience in fabrics and trims sourcing, inventory planning, and warehouse operations.
- Demonstrated success in reducing procurement costs and improving stock availability.
