School Accountant

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team and support the financial operations of our growing school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily financial transactions and maintain accurate records of all income and expenditures.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, financial statements, and cash flow reports.
• Handle billing, invoicing, and school fee collections; follow up on outstanding payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper documentation of all financial activities.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure timely salary payments.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including tax filings and financial audits.
• Provide financial insights and reports to management for informed decision-making.
• Support procurement processes and ensure proper asset management.
• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum CPA Section 3
• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proficiency in Accounting Software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Experience working in a school or education environment is an added advantage
