Description
Jirani Smart is seeking a proactive and experienced HR Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compliance, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and orientation process for new hires
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation
- Support the implementation of performance management systems and staff development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, HR policies, and organizational procedures
- Handle employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary processes
- Assist in the preparation of payroll and administration of staff benefits
- Coordinate staff welfare programs and initiatives
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management
- KCSE mean grade of B, with a minimum of B in Mathematics
- Fluency in both English and Kiswahili (spoken and written)
- 2–3 years of practical HR experience in a busy environment
- Solid knowledge of Kenya Labour Laws and HR best practices
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in MS Office and HR software systems
- Willingness to work in the Coast Region
