Dispatch Rider

The Dispatch Rider is responsible for ensuring orders and other items are delivered safely, accurately and on time while providing excellent customer service. The role also supports official errands, delivery documentation and general office support as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver items to clients and businesses safely and on time.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness and customer satisfaction.
• Countercheck deliveries with customers and report any over-supply or under-supply.
• Obtain signed delivery documents as proof of delivery.
• Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules to ensure timely turnaround.
• Assist with loading and offloading items from vehicles.
• Maintain and inspect the assigned motorcycle, including fuel, oil, cleanliness and basic servicing.
• Report incidents, servicing needs and maintenance requirements promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and comply with company policies.
• Ensure compliance with traffic laws, safety regulations and statutory requirements.
• Undertake official errands and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum High School Certificate (KCSE).
• Diploma in a business-related course or equivalent is desirable.
• Valid A1, A2, B, C or C1 driving/riding licence with a clean record.
• Experience working with motorcycles and/or motor vehicles.
• Familiarity with delivery applications, GPS and navigation tools.
• Previous experience in a busy warehouse or delivery operation is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of routes within Nairobi and its outskirts.
• Proficiency in ICT systems and basic computer applications.
• Strong customer service, communication and organizational skills.
• Good ability to work under pressure and meet delivery timelines.
• Reliable, honest, punctual and responsible.
• Good command of English and Swahili.
