Key Responsibilities:
- Review and execute physicians’ prescriptions, ensuring appropriateness and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Organize the pharmacy efficiently to ensure swift and accurate identification of products.
- Maintain control over the delivery, stocking, and labeling of medicines and other products, while monitoring for expiration or deterioration.
- Engage with patients to understand their needs, providing accurate information and professional advice on medication use.
- Assist with medical services, such as administering injections and measuring blood pressure or temperature.
- Keep thorough records of patient history and activities related to dispensing controlled medications.
- Ensure strict adherence to all applicable legal rules, regulations, and hospital procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the hospital's operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
- Valid practicing license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
- Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision while adhering to hospital policies and ethical standards.
