About me
With over 12 years of professional experience in security management, my competencies include a robust set of skills such as team leadership and expertise in corporate security management and governance, customer service, regulatory compliance, risk analysis and management, and occupational health & safety management. These abilities are complemented by my analytical nature and goal-oriented mindset, enabling me to effectively identify and mitigate threats related to people, assets, and activities at the workplace.
I am the Senior Field Governance and Security Manager at Eat N Go Ltd, the owners of Domino’s Pizza and Cold Stone Creameries international franchise brands in Kenya. My role includes monitoring the security and safety of business operations, undertaking risk assessments and mitigation strategies, designing and implementing security and safety policies, incorporating loss control and prevention strategies, managing automated security systems, and coordinating various teams to ensure that the business environment is safe for employees, contractors and visitors from both internal and external threats. My management approach has not only reduced operational risks significantly but has also ensured compliance with relevant statutory regulations, thus improving the overall integrity of the company’s business operations.
I have further experience in security and business management, having previously worked as;
- Regional Security Operations Manager at Crest Security Services Limited where I networked and built relationships with existing and new security clientele, and third-party security vendors to generate new business and help drive the company’s portfolio growth within areas of operation.
- Security Support Officer and Control Room Manager at British American Tobacco (K) Limited, where I developed, administered, and sustained company policy standards to protect the organization’s employees, contractors, and other stakeholders from acts of intimidation or violence and ensure close security coordination of all business functions.
- Zone Security Manager at Securex Agencies Limited, where I led a team that provided cutting-edge security and safety services in a territorial area comprising professional security personnel while securing long-term client relations and ensuring customers receive excellent professional security services.
All the above positions have allowed me to constantly identify, plan, and deliver initiatives that improve business performance by quickly evaluating and addressing dynamic security and safety components and driving dedicated teams to provide positive results. In addition to my work experience, I hold a degree in Business Information Technology from Strathmore University, which has provided me with a strong foundation in both technical and managerial aspects of corporate security and business management. This has ultimately contributed immensely to my leadership and team management skills.
