Accountant

Our client is a leading player in the animal feeds industry, specializing in the production and distribution of high-quality animal nutrition products. With a strong presence in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, they are committed to delivering excellence and innovation in their field.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the FMCG industry or a similar environment, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. The role will involve managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and invoices.
2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
3. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of payments and receipts.
4. Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
5. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
6. Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
7. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
8. Support internal and external audit processes.
9. Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
10. Perform any other duties as assigned by the management.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the FMCG or manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
