Pinefrost Distribution is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Department. In this role, you will support the Finance team by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, completing reconciliations, and assisting with month-end reporting. Key Responsibilities

  • Transaction Processing: Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, receipts, and payment records efficiently.

  • Record Keeping: Prepare and post journal entries and ensure all financial records are accurate and up to date.

  • Reconciliations: Perform bank, supplier, customer, and cash reconciliations regularly.

  • Reporting Support: Assist in the preparation and filing of financial records and support the month-end reporting process.

  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to basic accounting principles and financial procedures.

  • Team Collaboration: Work independently and support the wider Finance team to meet departmental deadlines.

Educational Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • CPA Part I or above is an added advantage.

  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial procedures.

Professional Experience

  • At least 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role.

  • Demonstrated experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, and filing.

  • Experience handling financial records and supporting month-end reporting processes.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.

  • Ability to prepare and post journal entries, invoices, receipts, and payment records.

  • Strong bank, supplier, customer, and cash reconciliation skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Other Competencies

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.

  • High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Good communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

  • Able to work independently and support the wider Finance team.
