Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Collections Supervisor – Logbook to lead and coordinate collection efforts on our logbook loan portfolio. The ideal candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the collections team, develop and implement effective recovery strategies, ensure compliance with policies, and maintain a positive relationship with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective collections and recovery strategies for the logbook loan portfolio
- Supervise, train, and support the collections team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly collection targets
- Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations
- Review and analyze the loan book to identify and mitigate portfolio risks
- Ensure timely and efficient follow-up on delinquent accounts through calls, field visits, and repossession coordination where necessary
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities, payment arrangements, and client communications
- Engage with clients to negotiate payment plans and resolve disputes in a professional manner
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal regulations, and industry best practices during collection and recovery processes
- Generate reports on collection performance, portfolio status, and recovery trends for management review
- Liaise with other departments such as Legal, Risk, and Sales to resolve client account issues and support recovery efforts
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in credit collection or debt recovery, preferably in logbook or secured lending
- Proven experience in team supervision or leadership roles
- Strong understanding of credit management, debt recovery procedures, and legal processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with loan management or CRM systems
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet collection targets
