Collections Agents

Our client, a leading player in the fintech industry, is seeking dynamic and results-driven Collections Agents to join their growing team. The ideal candidates will have prior experience in the fintech, loan, or credit sector and will be responsible for ensuring timely recovery of outstanding debts while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contact customers via phone, SMS, email, and other communication channels to follow up on overdue accounts.
• Negotiate repayment plans and ensure adherence to agreed-upon payment terms.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer interactions and payment arrangements.
• Analyze customer financial situations and offer appropriate solutions to facilitate repayments.
• Escalate accounts as necessary following company policies and procedures.
• Meet individual and team targets on recoveries, call handling, and customer satisfaction.
• Provide feedback and insights to management for improving collection strategies and customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of proven collections experience in the fintech, loan, credit, or banking industry.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and empathetically.
• Familiarity with debt collection software and CRM systems is an added advantage.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Proficiency in both English and Kiswahili.
