Description
Cost Accountant to oversee cost control operations, monitor food and beverage costs, ensure accurate inventory and financial reporting, maintain effective internal controls, and support the hotel's profitability through efficient cost management.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor food and beverage costs to ensure targeted profit margins are achieved.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
- Monitor stock movement and verify supplier invoices against purchase orders.
- Identify and report price variances, discrepancies, and inventory losses, including waste, spoilage, and breakages.
- Prepare and maintain menu costing, menu pricing, and POS pricing updates
- Generate cost, margin, and variance reports while maintaining effective internal cost control procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CPA (K) or ACCA qualification.
- Minimum of five (5) years' relevant work experience in the hospitality industry. .
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in the hospitality industry will be an added advantage.
