Description
The Association of Women Accountants of Kenya (AWAK) is seeking a highly organized and results-driven Finance and Administration Officer to manage financial operations and administrative functions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance, supporting revenue growth initiatives, and enhancing operational efficiency to achieve the organization’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
- Develop, manage, and monitor budgets, financial plans, and forecasts.
- Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, legal, and regulatory requirements, including tax filings and audits.
Administrative Oversight:
- Oversee procurement processes to ensure transparency, efficiency, and value for money.
- Manage asset inventory and ensure effective utilization and maintenance of resources.
- Supervise and streamline administrative processes to ensure operational excellence.
Strategic Financial Support:
- Provide in-depth financial analysis to guide revenue-generating programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership to align financial strategies with organizational goals.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and administration team to enhance performance and skillsets.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented working environment.
Contract and Agreement Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to protect organizational interests.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and address any legal or financial risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA or ACCA certification is required.
- Proven experience in financial management, administration, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements in Kenya.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
