Loan Officers – Mombasa

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Loan Officers to join our dynamic team in Mombasa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, conducting credit analysis, and ensuring compliance with lending policies. This role requires a customer-focused professional who can drive loan uptake while maintaining portfolio quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process loan applications in line with company policies and procedures.
• Conduct credit assessments, background checks, and risk analysis on potential clients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date loan records and documentation.
• Monitor loan repayments, follow up on arrears, and take proactive measures to minimize default.
• Provide financial advice to clients, ensuring they understand loan terms, repayment schedules, and obligations.
• Achieve set sales targets while ensuring high-quality loan portfolios.
• Maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on loan performance to management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a similar role, preferably in microfinance or digital lending.
• Strong understanding of credit management, lending procedures, and risk assessment.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of loan management systems is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Goal-oriented, with a proven ability to meet and exceed performance targets.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
• Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
