Main Purpose
The Accountant Reconciliation is responsible to facilitate prompt and accurate preparation of various accounting reports and reconciliations to aid management reporting and decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of bank reconciliations
- Preparation of general ledger account reconciliations
- Follow up to ensure that necessary requirements pertaining to payment requests are received
- Ensure that payments have been set up correctly and the system has been updated accordingly
- Bank accounts administration management & liaison with the bank representatives
- Preparation of detailed monthly expenses report and related commentaries
- Assist in reviewing and testing of financial system and related interfaces, support in systems automation & integration processes
- Review financial processes for improvement in financial controls & the implementation of greater operational efficiencies
- Assist in budgeting and planning process including forecasting
- Prepare and record journal entries and reconciliations and make necessary corrections to ensure the accuracy of our accounting system
- Compare application, system details and previous client details to ensure accuracy and to minimize risk of fraud
- Handle Audit queries
- To act as alternative disbursement/ payment officer
- Maintenance of Assets register calculation of depreciation and preparation of Assets movement schedule.
Qualifications
- Bachelors’ degree in a business related field which include Finance and Commerce.
- Professional accounting qualification such as CPA or ACCA.
- At least 3 years’ experience in the financial industry.
