Site Accountant

We are supporting a search for an experienced Site Accountant to join an established food manufacturing business in Nairobi. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on finance professional responsible for managing site-level accounting functions, working closely with Operations and Management to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze management accounts, budgets, and financial reports.

• Oversee inventory controls, reconciliations, and stock management.

• Monitor production variances, margins, and product costing.

• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Collaborate with operations and production teams to optimize costs and efficiencies.

• Maintain and improve internal controls and financial procedures.

• Support management with commercial and financial decision-making.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of relevant accounting experience.

• Proven experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or food processing industries.

• Strong skills in management accounts, inventory controls, and reconciliations.

• Experience with product costing, stock analysis, production variances, and margins.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP or accounting systems.

• CPA(K) or a relevant professional accounting qualification.

• High level of integrity, strong attention to detail, and solid commercial understanding.
