We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Treasury Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team based in Nairobi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the organization’s treasury operations, cash flow planning, banking relationships, and financial risk management to ensure optimal liquidity and compliance.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong treasury and banking operations experience, particularly within the Manufacturing or FMCG sector.
Position Details

Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily treasury operations, including banking transactions, cash payments, and reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records related to treasury and banking activities.
- Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity for business operations.
- Monitor and manage loans, overdrafts, and trade finance facilities.
- Ensure timely servicing of financial obligations and maintain healthy banking relationships.
- Track compliance with banking covenants and financing agreements.
- Support financial reporting and month-end treasury reconciliations.
- Identify and mitigate financial and liquidity risks.
- Liaise with internal departments and external financial institutions on treasury-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- CPA (K) or ACCA qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in Treasury, Banking Operations, or Finance.
- Prior experience in the Manufacturing or FMCG industry is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of cash management, financial risk management, and banking operations.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
