Site Agent

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Site Agent to oversee on-site construction operations and ensure projects are delivered successfully. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily site activities, coordinating with subcontractors and consultants, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires a strong leader with a solid background in civil engineering and project management who can ensure that client specifications are met on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Management

• Supervise and direct all on-site project activities to ensure compliance with client specifications and requirements.

• Monitor project progress and costs in collaboration with quantity surveyors.

• Develop, update, maintain, and distribute the project program to relevant stakeholders.

• Manage and coordinate both nominated and domestic subcontractors.

• Directly supervise and coordinate construction workers and crews on-site.

2. Reporting and Stakeholder Liaison

• Liaise with consultants, including Architects, Structural Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and Mechanical Engineers, to clarify details and resolve technical issues.

• Attend regular site meetings and maintain accurate site documents, records, and reports.

• Accompany clients during site visits, providing updates on progress, explaining changes, and answering inquiries.

• Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.

• Foster site harmony by proactively resolving conflicts and emerging issues in consultation with the Project Manager.

3. Quality Assurance and Safety Compliance

• Enforce quality standards and ensure proper building practices and engineering principles are followed at all times.

• Remain present on-site during all working hours to provide guidance, monitor workmanship, and prevent defects.

• Establish and enforce site standards, ensuring that all contractors and crews adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable university.

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. Experience in both building and construction projects is a distinct advantage.

• Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of project management principles and construction methodologies.

• Skills:

  • High standards of workmanship with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to guide contractors, subcontractors, and site workers effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients, consultants, and site teams.
