Van Salesman/Driver

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Van Salesman/Driver to join our team and help drive sales growth through efficient route coverage and strong customer relationship management.

Job Summary

The Van Salesman/Driver will be responsible for selling and delivering company products to customers using a company vehicle. This role combines sales, customer service, and delivery responsibilities, requiring someone self-driven, organized, and results-oriented.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the company van or lorry to assigned sales routes across various regions.
• Promote and sell FMCG products directly to customers and retailers.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to clients.
• Collect payments and issue receipts as required.
• Manage stock levels in the vehicle, conduct daily reconciliations, and report discrepancies.
• Maintain records using a digital sales system and submit daily sales reports.
• Identify new sales opportunities and develop strong customer relationships.
• Ensure vehicle maintenance, cleanliness, and safety compliance.
• Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma in Sales & Marketing or a Business-related course.
• Minimum 3 years of proven sales experience in the FMCG industry.
• At least 5 years of experience driving a van or lorry (Vehicle Class C1, C, or CE – BCE).
• Must be computer literate and have experience using digitalized sales systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Honest, reliable, and self-motivated with a high level of integrity.
• Must be 33 years of age or older.
• Willingness to relocate and travel extensively within Kenya.
• A thorough background check will be conducted to verify past employment performance and integrity.
