JOB DESCRIPTION:
The pharmacy technologist will help in running the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy in line with the professional practice, regulations, and laws of Kenya. He/she will provide a comprehensive pharmaceutical service to patients and other customers, while ensuring rational and effective use of medication.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prescription validation, dispensing and compounding of medicines at the
- Maintaining the drug stock level record in the medical center computer system including the drugs issued to the center customers.
- Ordering of drugs and other supplies at the department in collaboration with the respective
- Providing drug information and drug counseling to patients and members of
- Quality management system
- The pharmaceutical technologist is also expected to maintain the records of Local Purchase, internal requisition orders, delivery note, and invoices of the drugs supplied to the branch.
- Stock taking of drugs will be carried out every month with the administration. The management may also from time to time carry out impromptu drug stock inspection in the department.
- Maintaining efficiency at the department by making sure that drugs are always available for the center’scustomers.
- Assist in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the
- Participate in promotion and marketing of the center’s
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized medical training
- Be registered with the pharmacy and poisons board of Kenya and have a valid Practicing
- Proficiency in computer application skills
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience preferably in a busy hospital
- Great team player who is able to collaborate with other team members to offer the best outcomes to the
- Ability to work under minimum
- Strong commitment to care of patients and great customer
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English &
