Pharmaceutical Technologist – Mombasa

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Pharmaceutical Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, counseling patients on proper drug usage, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and assisting in the efficient operation of the pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
• Provide drug information and counseling to patients regarding proper use, side effects, and interactions.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and professional ethics.
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, inventory, and patient details.
• Prepare and compound pharmaceutical products as per prescriptions.
• Monitor drug storage conditions and ensure proper stock management.
• Assist in procurement and restocking of pharmaceutical supplies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Participate in health education and promotion programs.
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance and infection control measures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
• Valid practice license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in medical software and inventory management systems.
