Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and execute physicians’ prescriptions, ensuring appropriateness and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Organize the pharmacy efficiently to ensure swift and accurate identification of products.
  • Maintain control over the delivery, stocking, and labeling of medicines and other products, while monitoring for expiration or deterioration.
  • Engage with patients to understand their needs, providing accurate information and professional advice on medication use.
  • Assist with medical services, such as administering injections and measuring blood pressure or temperature.
  • Keep thorough records of patient history and activities related to dispensing controlled medications.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all applicable legal rules, regulations, and hospital procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the hospital's operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
  • Valid practicing license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
  • Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision while adhering to hospital policies and ethical standards.
