Physiotherapist at Central Memorial Hospital

Central Memorial Hospital, Thika is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and administering physiotherapy treatments to patients with physical impairments, disabilities, or injuries to help restore movement and function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ physical conditions and functional limitations through detailed evaluation and diagnosis
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals
• Administer a range of physiotherapy treatments including therapeutic exercises, electrotherapy, massage, and manual therapy
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment techniques, injury prevention, and home-based care
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
• Participate in health promotion and wellness education programs
• Ensure equipment is used safely and maintained properly
• Uphold professional standards and comply with hospital policies and regulatory requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution
• Must be registered and licensed by the Kenya Society of Physiotherapists (KSP) or relevant regulatory body
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience (post-internship preferred)
• Knowledge of a wide range of physiotherapy techniques and modalities
• Good understanding of musculoskeletal, neurological, and orthopedic conditions
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is an added advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
