Business Development Manager
Description
Kenya Nut Company Ltd. is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive growth within the wine and spirits division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, a passion for the hospitality industry, and experience in working with hotels, restaurants, and cafés (HoReCa). A deep understanding of the alcohol industry, particularly the wine sector, is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Development:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the wine and spirits segment, focusing on the HoReCa sector.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Analyze market trends, competition, and customer preferences to drive product positioning and sales strategies.
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with clients in hotels, restaurants, and cafés.
- Provide product education, including wine tastings and staff training sessions, to enhance client experience and loyalty.
- Address client inquiries, resolve concerns, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Sales and Revenue Growth:
- Achieve and exceed sales targets by implementing effective sales plans.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize revenue.
- Monitor sales performance and prepare regular reports for management.
Product Expertise:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of wine and spirits products, including production methods, pairings, and trends.
- Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to ensure alignment of offerings with market demand.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations and client satisfaction.
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to represent the company and expand its market reach.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Proven track record in business development or sales within the wine, spirits, or alcohol industry.
- Experience working with hotels, restaurants, and cafés (HoReCa).
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of wine and spirits, including basic production processes and pairings.
- Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs to develop effective strategies.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Other Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
