Kenya Nut Company Ltd. is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive growth within the wine and spirits division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, a passion for the hospitality industry, and experience in working with hotels, restaurants, and cafés (HoReCa). A deep understanding of the alcohol industry, particularly the wine sector, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Business Development:

    • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the wine and spirits segment, focusing on the HoReCa sector.
    • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key clients and stakeholders.
    • Analyze market trends, competition, and customer preferences to drive product positioning and sales strategies.
  2. Client Relationship Management:

    • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with clients in hotels, restaurants, and cafés.
    • Provide product education, including wine tastings and staff training sessions, to enhance client experience and loyalty.
    • Address client inquiries, resolve concerns, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  3. Sales and Revenue Growth:

    • Achieve and exceed sales targets by implementing effective sales plans.
    • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize revenue.
    • Monitor sales performance and prepare regular reports for management.
  4. Product Expertise:

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of wine and spirits products, including production methods, pairings, and trends.
    • Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to ensure alignment of offerings with market demand.
  5. Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations and client satisfaction.
    • Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to represent the company and expand its market reach.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Proven track record in business development or sales within the wine, spirits, or alcohol industry.
    • Experience working with hotels, restaurants, and cafés (HoReCa).
  • Skills:
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of wine and spirits, including basic production processes and pairings.
    • Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs to develop effective strategies.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Other Requirements:
    • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
