Description
We are looking for a Human Resource and Administrative Assistant to support our HR department in a variety of personnel and administrative tasks. The positions requires an individual with impeccable integrity, strong organizational skills, follow-through and accountability.
Key responsibilities:
HR Administration
- Facilitate travel of any visiting team members, investors or staff requiring
- Organize company events such as workshops, retreats, trainings and
- Prepare employee on boarding
- Managing the various subscriptions to support office devices and ensure
- Coordinate with the IT contractor to support employees with IT related
- Oversee employee data management, ensuring we use the data to make educated decisions about our people’s
- Process payroll accurately and
- Ensure the payroll system data remains accurate and that confidentiality is always
- Ensure timely employee registration with NSSF, SHIF,
- Coordinate all tasks relating to the safety and comfort of the physical office space, including cleaning, maintenance and
- Process travel allowances and DSR commissions
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Identify talent gaps in the organization and find the right people to fill the This includes job analysis, sourcing, screening and selection of the right candidates.
- Manage recruitment, selection and on boarding of new team members, which includes working with the team leads to develop job descriptions and post them on various
- Assess improvement areas in recruitment and onboarding process, offer recommendations to management, develop policies and implement new tactics to ensure we bring on board mission aligned team
Employee Life Cycle Management
- Facilitate new staff member on
- Act as the first point of contact for staff queries and
- Collaborate with the leadership to identify and address training and development
- Develop departmental competency and skills framework to guide career mapping and
- Ensure all HR SOPs are followed during termination
- Develop an offboarding checklist and timeline to ensure employees are cleared respectfully and all final dues
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee medical benefits, develop monthly reports of medical expenses and submit reimbursements to Finance team in a timely manner.
- Establish and maintain relationships with top tier medical health providers to provide high quality healthcare to employees and their dependents.
- Administer employee loans (motorcycle and associated insurance) and communicate when loans are available to the sales team.
- Conduct monthly fuel top ups requests from the sales and administration
Employee Safety
- Collaborating with the ESG officer, implement health and safety policies at the workplace.
- Develop timely reports when incidents
- Oversee any employee grievances across
Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration or related field
(preferred).
- Member of the Institute of Human Resource Management
- 1-2 years of experience in a HR generalist
