Role Overview
The Human Resource Officer will support the internal HR function while upholding Darubini’s strict data protection standards and verification protocols. The role includes managing recruitment processes, maintaining employee compliance with vetting procedures, and ensuring HR practices align with data privacy laws and operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all HR processes adhere to data protection laws, internal privacy policies, and client confidentiality expectations.
Maintain secure digital and physical employee records and restrict unauthorized access to sensitive data.
Support regular audits of HR files to ensure compliance with verification, KRA, CRB, and legal identity documentation requirement
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Facilitate recruitment processes and support onboarding for verification specialists and administrative staff.
- Employee Records Management: Maintain confidential and up-to-date staff records, including training, contracts, and compliance documentation.
- HR Compliance: Ensure adherence to labor laws and internal policies, including background verification for all staff.
- Performance & Training: Coordinate staff training and development, working with internal leads to enhance verification and investigation competencies.
- HR Administration: Assist with payroll inputs, leave tracking, staff benefits coordination, and exit procedures.
- Employee Engagement: Support HR initiatives to foster staff well-being, team-building, and effective communication.
- Reporting & Analytics: Prepare HR-related reports such as headcount, recruitment metrics, and staff turnover.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in HR, preferably within a compliance-driven or screening-related environment.
- Familiarity with data protection regulations (e.g., Kenya Data Protection Act) and ethical HR practices.
- Working knowledge of background screening, vetting, and reference checks is a strong advantage.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and integrity-driven decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in HR systems and secure document handling platforms.
