As a Human Resource Intern at Lewa, you will support the HR department in its day-to-day operations, contributing to initiatives that promote staff engagement, organizational effectiveness, and compliance with best practices.
Job Description: Human Resource Intern
Organization: Lewa Wildlife Conservancy (Lewa)
Location: Isiolo, Kenya
Duration: 3 months (with the possibility of extension based on performance)
Application Period: Open for 2025
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating induction programs.
- Support the maintenance of accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality in handling HR documentation.
- Assist in organizing training and development programs for staff and maintaining training records.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and welfare activities to enhance workplace morale.
- Participate in the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Provide administrative support in performance management and appraisal processes.
- Assist with payroll preparation, leave management, and employee benefits administration.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of organizational events and team-building activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Manager.
Eligibility Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Recent graduate (2023–2024) eager to gain practical experience in HR.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
