Human Resources Manager – NGO job

Adelko has been contracted by African Agricultural Technology Foundation (AATF) to assist with the search for an exceptional candidate to fill the position of Manager – Human Resources.

AATF is an international not-for-profit organization that facilitates, and promotes public/private partnerships to access, develop, adapt and deliver appropriate agricultural technologies for sustainable use by smallholder farmers in Sub Saharan Africa. The Human Resources Manager will lead the strategic and operational delivery of the HR function— ensuring that our workforce is empowered, well-supported, compliant, and aligned with the Foundation’s mission. The role will oversee talent acquisition, performance management, organizational development, HR governance, staff wellbeing, and digital transformation of HR systems.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree will be an added advantage)
• Postgraduate diploma and/ or Professional certification such as CHRP, SHRM-CP, or CIPD is
• Certifications in Human Resources Audit is Relevant Experience

• Minimum of 8 years’ progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or strategic role.

• Prior experience working in international NGO settings or multi-country operations is a strong
• Proven experience in strategic human resource planning and effective implementation of HR
• Demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition, including executive-level
• Hands-on experience in performance management systems and driving staff engagement
• Strong background in HR policy development, with a solid understanding of labor laws and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing employee benefits and implementing Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
